This one goes to Bosnian readers of RA. Zee Captain has a small but faithful bunch of followers in Bosnia.

So...explanation for those who are not from South Slavic speaking area...

Burek = Pie

BUREK is very important dish in Bosnian cuisine.
Bosnian cuisine (as well as Serbian, Macedonian, Croatian, etc.) was strongly influenced by oriental cuisine...we were under rule of Ottoman Turks for a very long time. Burek originally comes from Turkey, but every single one of us gave that dish a special twist. Also, in Serbia, Croatia... burek is any type of a pie (meat, cheese, potato...). In Bosnia burek is meat pie ONLY! We have different names for other pies.
Sirnica = cheese pie
Krompirusa = potato pie etc.
So...this proverb is saying: all the other pies...they are ok, but comparing to burek, they are NOTHING!
